Electrical fire heavily damages Cambridge home

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A Cambridge home was heavily damaged in a fire this week.

Firefighters responded to the home, located at 639 Robbins Street, just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The two-alarm blaze took approximately one hour to control.

State fire marshals determined that the fire began in the kitchen and was caused by an electrical failure in the kitchen. Total damage has been estimated at $45,000.
