Easton daycare employee charged with neglect of minor
EASTON, Md. – Easton Police have charged a Preston woman following a child neglect investigation.
Last month, detectives received a call from the Talbot County Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, for a report of a daycare provider possibly assaulting a 2-year-old child. Further investigation led police to discover that an employee of Best Buddies Learning Center, 76-year-old Linda Perry, was caught on surveillance video spanking and dropping the child. The child was not seriously harmed and did not require medical attention.
On Monday, detectives served a criminal summons on Perry, charging her with neglect of minor, reckless endangerment, and second degree assault.
