Early morning fire damages Dorchester Co. home

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A Cambridge home was heavily damaged in an early morning fire.

Shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to 1301 Stone Boundary Road for a reported house fire. Crews battled the blaze for approximately 40 minutes before bringing it under control.

Fire marshals determined that the fire began in the living room and was caused by open flames/smoking materials in close proximity of combustible materials.
