Dover teen injured in shooting, police investigating
DOVER, Del. – A 16-year-old was injured in a Dover-area shooting Friday night.
Police say the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. in the 300 block of Simon Circle. Officers found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects reportedly went into the Simon Circle neighborhood with firearms and shot the victim before fleeing in a vehicle.
Police are actively working to determine the exact number of suspects and descriptions. There are no additional leads at this time.
