Dover robbery leads to arrest of two teens

DOVER, Del. – Two teens have been arrested in connection to a weekend robbery in Dover.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a robbery on a walking path off of Mifflin Road, south of Forrest Avenue. The victim met with police and reported that he was walking on the path when he was approached by two suspects, one of which reportedly displayed a handgun. The suspects allegedly demanded that the victim turn over several items before fleeing with the victim’s items.

Officers were able to find both suspects walking in the Village of Westover Park area. Both initially fled on foot but were eventually taken into custody. A loaded handgun was also found in the area where the suspects fled.

Both teens were held at the Stevenson House Detention Facility on a $56,000 cash bail on first degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession of a firearm/ammo by a person prohibited, second degree conspiracy, and resisting arrest.
