Dover man arrested in connection to Milford kidnapping case

MILFORD, Del. – A Dover man has been arrested in connection to a kidnapping investigation that began last month.

On May 11th, the Milford Police Department received a call from the victim’s family, who reported that they were concerned for the victim’s safety. Contact was made with the victim, who reported that they were held against their will by a man identified as 19-year-old Tajon Cohen. Cohen allegedly forced the victim to drive them around the Milford and Dover areas and took the victim’s cell phone.

Cohen fled the area and was found by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Georgia on May 31st. He was extradited back to Delaware on Wednesday and formally charged with second degree kidnapping, second degree unlawful imprisonment, malicious interference with emergency communications, offensive touching, and menacing.

Cohen was held on a $67,200 cash only bail and issued a no contact order with the victim.
