Dover AFB airman charged with continuous sex abuse of a minor
DOVER, Del. – A Dover airman has been arrested on charges stemming from a child sex abuse investigation.
According to police, the investigation began in April 2024, involving 20-year-old Amir Hughes, an airman stationed at Dover Air Force Base. It was learned that Hughes was involved in an ongoing sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
Hughes was arrested last week and charged with ten counts of second degree rape. He is currently being held at SCI on a $600,000 cash bond.
