Delmar holds 46th annual ‘Delmarva’s Day in the Park’ Festival

DELMAR, Del. – Today Delmar hosted the 46th annual ‘Delmarva Day in the Park’ Festival.

The decades-old tradition is a favorite of local families. Residents were able to play games and shop among local vendors. Kids can have fun with different rides and activities. Some people opted to just pull up a chair and enjoy the live music.

There was plenty of food to choose from–the kind of comfort food you might expect to find at an event like this–but festival-goers also had the chance to try traditional Native American dishes.

“It’s great because we’re getting the food out there. It is traditional. It’s something that I believe everybody should at least try. If you don’t try it, you don’t know whether or not you like it,” said Roy Saunders of Turtle Island Foods.

Saunders added that it was their second year attending the festival, and that he had customers showing up from out of town because they heard that Turtle Island Foods would be there.
