Delaware to pass Contraceptive Services bill for students

DELAWARE – Legislators are considering a new bill that would allow contraceptive services to students.

Bill 301 would require public state universities to give students access to medications.

This also includes administering services on-site; consultations would be provided through telehealth services and university student health organizations.

Senator Kyle Evans Gay says, “Nearly 20% of individuals nationwide need an abortion when in their twenties.”

The legislation has been cleared by the committee but will now be put up for consideration in the Senate.
