BERLIN, Md.- The town of Berlin will be holding its 36th annual bathtub races next Friday.

This event is a tradition in Berlin where participants race bathtubs down main street.

The event is so popular that the Berlin Chamber of Commerce will have bleachers on main street.

“The bathtubs can be kayaks or bathtubs or oak barrels, and they are attached to wheels and they are pushed down
they are pushed down main street holding water with occupants and they race down main street to see who the winner is,” says Wells.

The races are completely sold out, but the event is free to watch.
