Armed robbery investigation underway in Dover

DOVER, Del. – An investigation is underway following an armed robbery in Dover Monday night.

At around 9:40 p.m., police say they were called to the area of South State Street near Cool Springs Drive for a reported armed robbery. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 16-year-old was riding his bike when he was approached by an unknown man, who allegedly pushed the victim off his bike, pointed a gun at him, and took his property. The suspect then fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

The victim was not injured.
