Argument involving gun leads to arrest of Seaford man

SEAFORD, Del. – A Seaford man is behind bars after police say he threatened someone with a gun Wednesday evening.

At around 7:45 p.m., troopers were called to Squirrel Lane for a reported aggravated menacing incident. Troopers were informed that the victim had gotten into an argument with the suspect, 78-year-old Delbert Watkins. During the argument, Watkins allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him. Police say two children were with the victim when the incident happened.

No one was injured.

Watkins was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, terroristic threatening, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was held at SCI on a $17,000 secured bond.
