YEAS ambassadors visit Good Morning Delmarva to discuss their community tree planting event

47ABC – This Saturday — the Youth Environmental Action Summit (YEAS) is hosting a tree planting event at the Truitt Community center.

This morning, ambassadors Diva Shrestha and Julia Ann Gore, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more about how you can help support the community.

YEAS is a program that helps the community by advocating for the environment through participating in the plastic bag ban, helping the Salisbury Community Garden, and more.

Saturday, May 4th, they will be planting 40 trees!

They say they’ve been trying to spread the word and get as much help as possible to bring this restoration to fruition.

They event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at the Truitt Community Center.
