Vikings take down the Panthers in 2nd round

LEWES, Del.– Cape Henlopen defeated Polytech in the 2nd round of the DIAA state playoffs on Thursday afternoon.

Cape Henlopen jumped on the Panthers early with a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. The Vikings would continue to add on with RBI triples from Jay’Lyn Slater and Natalya Roundtree to put the Vikings out in front 3-0. Ava Calciano would bring in a run off an RBI double and another run would score off a wild pitch.

Cape Henlopen moves on and will play on Saturday May 25th in the state quaterfinals.
