Three arrested, fourth wanted in connection to Ellendale shooting

ELLENDALE, Del. – Three people have been arrested and police are searching for a fourth in connection to an early morning shooting in Ellendale.

At around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, troopers were called to a home in the 13000 block of South Old State Road for a reported disorderly incident. Troopers arrived at the scene to find a woman who had been shot in the leg.

It was learned that a gray SUV allegedly stopped on New Hope Road, the occupants argued with people in the backyard of the house and fired shots at them, hitting the woman and the house. Police say there were several people in the house at the time of the incident, including a child.

Troopers were able to find the suspects and SUV a short time later, arresting 20-year-old Isaiah Yunas and two 17-year-olds. Yunas was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, six counts of first degree reckless endangering, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief. He was held at SCI on a $46,000 secured bond.

One of the 17-year-olds was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, six counts of first degree reckless endangerment, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1000. The teen was held at the Stevenson House Detention Center on a $50,500 secured bond.

The second 17-year-old was charged with six counts of first degree reckless endangerment, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1000, and was released to the custody of a parent.

Troopers are asking for the public’s help in locating a fourth suspect, identified as 21-year-old Marcus Yunus. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective K. Haley at 302-752-3810.
