The Lower Eastern Shore’s Salvation Army visits Good Morning Delmarva to discuss Community Fun Day

47ABC – National Salvation Army Week is right around the corner and the Lower Eastern Shore’s Salvation Army is hosting a community fun day to kick it off!

This morning representative, Angel Simmons, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more about this FREE event!

This day has been in the works since before covid and is finally set to begin at 9am May 11th.

The event will include bouncy houses, obstacle courses, food vendors, and more!

Simmons tells us that it’s a family friendly event and there will be tons of giveaways.

She also tells us that National Salvation Army Week is a great opportunity for them to show others what services they provide to help the community.

They not only run a thrift shop, but they have a boys & girls club and social services for assistance.

Again, the community fun day will be held Saturday, May 11th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
