SU falls short in game 1 of super regionals

SALISBURY, Md.– Salve Regina defeated Salisbury University in game 1 of the super regionals in a final score of 9-8 on Friday afternoon.

Regina got hot in the 1st inning as they plated 4 runs on the Gulls. Salve Regina would keep the runs coming in as they would go up 6-0.

The Gulls would come to life in the 3rd inning as Danny Sheeler would drive in the 1st run of the game for them. They would keep it going as Zach Geesaman would hit a grand slam to bring the Gulls within 1 run.

Geesaman would also be the one to tie the game up as he would hit a RBI single up the middle in the 4th. SU would go on to take a 7-6 lead in the 5th inning, but Salve Regina would retake the lead off a 3 run homer to left-center field.
