Miriam’s Table founder Susie Keefer visits Good Morning Delmarva to discuss new book
47ABC – A while ago, we met Susie Keefer the founder of Miriam’s Table.
Miriam’s table is a nutrition program for kids that she started after adopting her daughter Miriam from Congo.
This morning, Keefer stopped by to discuss her new book “He Hoped I Would Come” about how serving others shaped her life.
She tells us the title of the book was inspired by the adoption of her daughter.
Susie says she was apprehensive about the adoption, but it was the support from the men in her daughter’s family that made her feel like it was the right choice.
They said Miriam’s deceased father who knew Susie, was hoping she would come back for Miriam.
Keefer stayed in Congo for 37 days while finalizing the adoption.
The entire story of the inspiring journey will be in her book which recently released on May 5th.
She says it’s currently available on Amazon.
