Maryland MVA announces updated vehicle registration fees for FY25

MARYLAND – The Motor Vehicle Administration has announced that vehicle registration rates have been adjusted for Fiscal Year 2025 renewals.

The new base rate for registration fees is based on vehicle class and weight. Additionally, the vehicle fee includes a healthcare service surcharge that benefits Marylanders by supporting the Maryland Emergency Medical System Operations Fund and the Maryland Trauma Physician Services.

Individuals with vehicle registrations expiring on or after July 1st will pay the adjusted rate. Those currently eligible for renewal or have registrations that expire through the end of June 2024 will pay current registration fees.
