Mardela shuts out Eagles to win bayside championship

SALISBURY, Md.– Mardela defeated North Dorchester in a final score of 4-0 on Wednesday afternoon to win the bayside championship.

North Dorchester and Mardela were in a pitchers duel for the first 3 innings. Mardela would crack the game open with a solo shot from Ava Twilley to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Twilley would tack on another run in the top of the 5th with an RBI double.

Carson Shockley would also drive in a run in the 6th to make it 4-0. Twilley would take over in the circle to finish the job and secure the win for Mardela.
