Local flower market sees increased foot traffic on Mother’s Day

SALISBURY, Md. – What mom doesn’t love flowers on her special day?

At Williams Market in Salisbury, sales associates said this is always the busiest time of the year for them, because people are buying gifts for the moms in their lives, and the weather is perfect to kick off the planting season.

Sales associate, John McCaig, said it was so busy, Sunday, they started running out of space in their parking lot.

“It’s been crazy, but great crazy, because the whole place is filled with people and the whole place is filled with flowers and it’s great, we love it,” McCaig said.

McCaig added with no cold snaps in our future, it’s safe to get those plants in the ground.
