Local business encourages biking during natl. Bike Month

SALISBURY, Md. – May is national bike month.
It’s a time to promote the benefits of bike riding and celebrate the diversity of the cycling community across the nation.
Cycling is an activity that can keep people happy and active. It also helps people to connect with their community and reduce your carbon footprint on the environment.
Owner of Salisbury Cycle and Fitness, Terry Willey, said biking could be a good active addition to your day.
“[It’s a] good way to get out and meet your neighbors. There are a lot of biking clubs, so you can go ride with friends and get to explore the area without using a lot of resources and fuel,” Willey said.
Willey added that depending on your commute, biking to work instead of driving could save you anywhere between $50-150 per month.
