Liquor bill signed in Wicomico Co.

WICOMICO CO., Md. – Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano has announced the signing of a bill that will repeal the liquor monopoly in the county.

House Bill 1340 was signed by Governor Wes Moore and allows local bar and restaurant owners the ability to purchase spirits from the distributor of their choice.

The liquor dispensaries will stay in place and operate as usual.

HB1340 goes into effect July 1.
