Good Morning Delmarva discusses “Lyme Wars: A Love Story” for Lyme Disease Awareness Month

47ABC – May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month!

Pamela Andrews, President of the Lyme Disease Association of Delmarva, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to discuss her book “Lyme Wars – A Love Story”.

Pamela says that herself and other parents with children affected by Lyme Disease, came together to establish the Lyme Disease Association of Delmarva.

Andrews wants to showcase her experience testifying for the Institute of Medicine, for state legislators, and at conferences through this book.

She also says she wants to show how this disease affects their relationships with others and the impact it has on someone’s life.

This month, be careful while outside and to check your body after you come inside, as Pamela tells us Delmarva is the perfect area for ticks around this time of year.
