Car enthusiasts flock to Ocean City for 33rd annual Ocean City Crusin’

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Car enthusiasts, like Matt Dalbaugh, view collectible cars as a prize worth showcasing every year at, Ocean City Cruising.

The car expert put a lot of time and money into his 1978 Lincoln Mark 5, and it has one key feature that made it stand out from the rest.

“I have a complete hydraulics suspension system, with all of the components that go with it in the trunk,” Dalbaugh said.

Aside from the opportunity to show off all the cool gadgets, Dalbuagh said the event also brings people together from different parts of the country.

“The comradery of people with similar interests, the beach scene, it’s just a very unique event,” Dalbaugh said. “You get the tropical area, you get the hot rods, there’s not many places that could bring those two things together.”

And a veteran in the car collecting game herself, Linda Reedy said she’ll keep coming back to the car show for as long as she possibly can, and one day, she’ll pass the tradition down to her children, for them to keep it alive.

“I’ve been coming for probably 20 years and just enjoy looking at all the different cars, all the different models, the colors, and the different manufacturers,” Reedy said.
