A local doctor spreads awareness about kidney health
SALISBURY Md – WMDT is a proud sponsor of this year’s kidney walk.
The 2024 Salisbury Kidney Walk is this Sunday, June 2nd at WinterPlace Park, and it starts at 9 am.
Doctor Ndanda Ofori, of Delmarva Kidney and Hypertension Specialist, spoke with the WMDT staff.
She stressed the importance of keeping up with your body, specifically your kidneys.
Dr. Ofori says, “If you can control your weight and diet, you can help delay any kidney disease.”
You have two kidneys in your body, and the kidneys have multiple jobs one of those is a filter system.
“A lot of people don’t understand what the kidney does, if you know what work the kidney does in your body you probably would pay more attention,” said Ofori
