Federalsburg man arrested following pursuit
FEDERALSBURG, Md. – A Federalsburg man was arrested after police say a vehicle pursuit through Dorchester County ended in a crash.
On Wednesday, deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a motor vehicle on Ocean Gateway in the Trappe area for moving violations. Deputies soon discovered the vehicle registration was also suspended. The vehicle accelerated east in an attempt to elude police. The suspect continued into Dorchester County where they were joined by Deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect continued into Cambridge, losing control of the vehicle, striking a wall disabling his vehicle on Academy Street near Cedar Street. Deputies were then able to take the suspect into custody and identified him as 29-year-old Adrian Jenkins of Federalsburg.
A record check also revealed Jenkins was wanted by the Cambridge Police Department for attempted murder and assault. Jenkins was transported to the Talbot County Central Booking facility for processing Jenkins was held pending further court action.
Jenkins was charged with possession of a controlled substance, fleeing and eluding, driving without a license, and other traffic violations. He was held pending further court action.
