Sussex Tech student arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia
GEORGETOWN, Del. – A student at Sussex Technical High School was arrested on Tuesday after police reportedly found drugs in his vehicle.
School staff notified the School Resource Officer that the smell of marijuana was coming from a student’s car. The student was reportedly working on his car as part of a class.
A search of the car led to the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and the 17-year-old student was arrested for possession of approximately 5.79 grams of marijuana, approximately 21 grams of individually packaged marijuana, a metal scale, and drug paraphernalia.
The teen was later released to a guardian.
