Shorebirds continue search for first win

SALISBURY, Md. – Delmarva fell behind Salem early and could never catch up in their 4-2 loss Friday night at Perdue Stadium.

Johanfran Garcia homered in the first for the visiting Red Sox. Stanley Tucker tripled in the second and was brought home by a sacrifice fly. Jhostynxon Garcia slammed a two-run home run in the third, giving the Sox a four-run cushion.

Blake Money was saddled with the loss, giving up four runs in four innings of work.

Leandro Arias supplied the only fireworks of the game with a two-run blast in the bottom of the fourth.

Delmarva falls to 0-7 on the 2024 season.
