Second phase of renovations to begin at TidalHealth Nanticoke

SEAFORD, Del. – TidalHealth has announced that it is set to begin the second phase of a series of renovations to the fourth and fifth floors of the Seaford hospital.

We’re told the work is to enhance the safety, appearance, and delivery of healthcare and will impact the Specialty Surgical and Robotics Unit (SSRU) and the Obstetrics Unit (OB). On or around April 29th, the OB unit and team will temporarily relocate to the first floor in the former Pediatrics Short Stay Unit and a portion of the Clinical Decision Unit.

Renovations on the OB 4th floor unit is expected to last approximately one year. Once this is finished, a second temporary move of the SSRU back downstairs is scheduled so a final refurbishing of their 5th floor unit can be completed. The OB unit will permanently return to the 4th floor at that time.
