Salisbury woman convicted of attempted murder in connection to 2023 shooting
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury woman has been convicted of attempted murder.
The charges stem from an incident on August 20, 2023. We’re told the victim and his friends were enjoying a backyard barbecue when Ashlee Scott and four co-conspirators robbed them at gunpoint. When the victim turned to flee, he was shot in the back of the neck, subsequently paralyzing him.
Scott was convicted this week of attempted first and second degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, four counts of first degree assault, firearm use in a crime of violence, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and other related charges.
Sentencing was postponed pending the completion of a pre-sentence investigation.
