Police: Ocean View woman arrested for assaulting senior citizen

OCEAN VIEW, Del. – An Ocean View woman has been charged for allegedly assaulting a senior citizen.

According to police, the incident happened during the evening hours on Tuesday, in the 37000 block of Mahogany Street. The 66-year-old woman told police that she was in the driveway of a house when a woman, later identified as Regina Bonacquisti, aggressively approached her from the roadway, assaulted her, and damaged her vehicle. Bonacquisti, who the victim reportedly does not know, left the scene after the assault.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Bonacquisti was arrested the following day and charged with second degree assault – victim is over the age of 62, criminal mischief under $1500, and disorderly conduct. She was held at SCI on a $2,700 cash bond.
