UPDATE: Police investigating shots fired outside of Kent Co. Family Court

5 p.m. UPDATE: Police have identified a suspect in connection with this incident.

We’re told at around 9 a.m., a person in the vicinity of the courthouse was targeted by a single gunshot, which hit the building.

DOVER, Del. – Delaware Capitol Police are investigating a shots fired complaint outside of the Kent County Family Court.

No injuries were reported, and court operations were not impacted. Police say there are no known threats to the public.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
