One arrested, second sought in Kent Co. home burglary
LEIPSIC, Del. – A Maryland man has been arrested in connection to a burglary of a Kent County home last month.
On March 19th, Delaware State Police responded to a home in the 200 block of Main Street in Leipsic for a reported burglary. It was determined that an unknown suspect had entered the occupied home sometime overnight by pushing in a window on a screen door. The suspect then reportedly took the keys to a Dodge Ram truck and left the house in the stolen truck, which has been recovered.
Further investigation led police to identify Daniel Rholetter and Jennifer Barnes as the suspects in the burglary.
Rholetter was arrested on Monday and charged with first degree burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1000. He was held at SCI on a $24,100 secured bond.
Police are still searching for Barnes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Detective A. Green at 302-698-8444.
