Magnolia man arrested on multiple drug, traffic charges following traffic stop
MAGNOLIA, Del. – A traffic stop led to numerous charges for a Magnolia man Sunday afternoon.
At around 12:30 p.m., a trooper on patrol reportedly stopped a vehicle near Millchop Lane and Stevenson Drive for a registration violation. As the trooper approached the vehicle, he reportedly saw the driver, identified as 49-year-old Jerry Smith, erratically moving around in the car. The trooper reported seeing a white powdery substance on Smith’s lap, hands, and inside the car.
Smith was subsequently taken into custody and a search led to the recovery of approximately 4.06 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 0.22 grams of powder cocaine, approximately 5.08 grams of marijuana, money, and a scale.
Smith was held at SCI on a list of drug and traffic charges.
