Mace, Hanzsche, Held earn conference awards

SALISBURY, Md. – Abby Mace has been one of the top Division-III hitters in the nation, and she earns yet another conference player of the week award.

She batted .520 last week with four home runs twelve RBI and fifteen runs scored. This is her third conference player of the week award this season as the Smyrna native is batting .495 for the campaign.

Mary Hanzsche and Natalie Held also winning the offense and defensive players of the week in women’s lacrosse for the C2C, respectively.

Hanzsche had ten points across a pair of C2C wins over Mary Washington and Christopher Newport, helping the Gulls to claim the top seed in the conference tournament.

Held scooped six ground balls and six draw controls while forcing three turnovers in the Gulls’ two victories.

Women’s lacrosse hosts the conference championship this weekend at Sea Gull Stadium.
