In wake of FAFSA delays, Delaware announces extra support for students
DELAWARE – In response to significant delays in the roll-out of the new FAFSA application, the Delaware Department of Education recently announced additional support for its students.
The department is extending scholarship deadlines and working with Stand By Me to ensure that students are able to complete their FAFSA application correctly.
Officials say this will help students get the financial aid they need to plan their future and pursue education at the next level.
“We’re watching this very closely, we want to make sure that no student is denied the opportunity for higher education if that’s their choice because of the FAFSA issues nationwide,” said Juliet Murkawski, Director of the Higher Education Office within the Delaware Department of Education.
