Good Morning Delmarva discusses UMES’s 5K Epilepsy Walk

47ABC – UMES’s 11th Annual 5k Epilepsy Walk is just around the corner on May 4th.

This morning, Amar Yousif, president of the Pharmacy Student Government Association, visited Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more about the event.

Yousif tells us it’s a great cause to support and it’s a 100% fundraiser.

50 percent of the money will go towards research into finding a cure for Epilepsy and the other half will go to UNA, an organization that provides resources for those with disabilities.

He says it’s only 20 dollars to register for the event.

There will be a 3K and 5K that goes around the university campus.

He says he likes giving back to the community and with events like this he can be involved.
