Good Morning Delmarva discusses the Community Players of Salisbury’s latest show: the harlem renaissance

47ABC – The Community Players of Salisbury has a new upcoming show set for this weekend called The Harlem Renaissance: A Celebration of the Arts.

The director and writer of the show, Matt Bogdan, stopped by Good Morning Delmarva to tell us more about the show!

Bogdan tells us the show is a big celebration of artists of all kinds including photography, music and literature.

Some of the people featured will be Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Lena Horn and more!

Bogdan is a huge fan of Langston Hughes from his time as a teacher so, he really wanted to show his appreciation and highlight some of the amazing artists from that era.

He said he’s really excited for everyone to hear the live band and singers perform!

The shows will be:

Friday, April 26th at 7 p.m.

Saturday, April 27th at 7 p.m.

Sunday, April 28th at 2 p.m.
