Former Del. State Auditor files for District 14 seat

DELAWARE – Former Delaware State Auditor Kathy McGuiness has officially filed for the 14th District Seat in the State’s House of Representatives.

McGuiness filed for the seat on Monday, according to the Delaware Elections website.

It was announced last week that the Department of Justice decided not to retry McGuiness after one of her convictions was reversed earlier this year. She appealed her charges of official misconduct and conflict of interest, and in February, the court ruled to remand one of the charges and uphold the other.

The DOJ has officially confirmed that they do not intend to retry McGuiness.
