Felony theft investigation leads to charges for Georgetown man
FELTON, Del. – A Georgetown man has been charged in connection to a theft in Felton last week.
On Friday, troopers responded to a home in the 800 block of West Evens Road for a reported theft, meeting with a 62-year-old victim and the owner of another construction company. It was reported that several construction tools had been stolen from the home while it was being renovated earlier in the month. Further investigation led police to identify the suspect as 36-year-old Adam Prettyman, an employee of the victim, learning that Prettyman had pawned the stolen tools.
Prettyman was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with theft over $1500, theft under $1500 and victim is 62 years of age or older, theft by false pretense, falsifying business records, and selling property under $1500.
