Early morning fatal hit-and-run under investigation in Harbeson

HARBESON, Del. – Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of 28-year-old Matthew Rosas early Friday morning.

At around 2:20 a.m., police say a silver car was driving northbound on Harbeson Road, north of Lewes-Georgetown Highway. For unknown reasons, a pedestrian was reportedly in the northbound lane of Harbeson Road when he was hit by the silver car. A short time later, a small white SUV also hit the pedestrian. Both vehicles left the scene.

Rosas was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
