Delmarva Shorebirds remain winless
SALISBURY, Md. — The Delmarva Shorebirds fall to 0-6 on the season after losing to the Salem Red Sox 8-4 in extra innings.
The Shorebirds fell behind 4-2 after six innings of play. However, a passed ball in the bottom of the 8th and an RBI by Brayan Hernandez helped Delmarva tie the game up at four. Neither team could score in the ninth inning so the game would be decided in the tenth inning.
Red Sox Left Fielder Natanael Yuten hit a three-run home run that increased the lead from 5-4 to 8-4 heading into the bottom of the tenth, where Albert Feliz would shut down the Shorebirds to give the Red Sox the win.
Delmarva is back it again against the Red Sox at Perdue Stadium on April 12th at 7 pm.
