Delaware State Fire Marshall investigating residential fire in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. – The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating a fire that occurred early Sunday Morning at 28253 Basin Rd in Millsboro.

As first responders arrived, the fire was advancing to the eaves, attic, and roof line of the two-story residential structure.

Firefighters conducted a primary search of the structure on the account of conflicting reports that an occupant was trapped inside. Ultimately, it was deemed that there were no occupants within the residential structure. Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic and scene access for the duration of the event.

One firefighter was injured and required emergency medical observation.
