CWDI to hold community update on Cambridge Harbor Project

Cambridge, Md.- Cambridge Waterfront Developement Incorporated will be holding a community update on the Cambridge Harbor Project on April 18th.

In the meeting CWDI board members, staff, and other relevant experts will be presenting key information on the project which will include what is, and is not planned to keep  it moving forward.

Recently community members have voiced concerns over  the harbor project, including former city  manager Tom Carroll who cited concerns over the direction of the project as a reason for his resignation in March.

We sat down with Executive Director of CWDI Matt Leonard who told us that the group hopes to address some of those concerns with this community update.

“We think a lot of what people are hearing is based on bad information or misinformation. We do think its our responsibility to get the right information out there, and we plan to use the 18th as an opportunity to do that.”

CWDI will also be fielding questions submitted by the community  and you can submit your questions by emailing them to info@cwdimd.org no later than the end of business on Monday April 15th.

The community update will be held at the Chesapeake Grove Intergenerational Center located at 108 Chesapeake Street in Cambridge.

Doors will open to the event at 5:30 p.m., with the program starting at 6 p.m and running until 7:30 p.m.

The event will also be livestreamed and links to that stream will be provided by CWDI 48 hours prior to the event.
