UPDATE: Convenience store burglary under investigation in Dover

4/2 UPDATE: Dover Police have released an image of the person responsible for the burglary at the Exxon early Sunday morning.

Police ask anyone with information on the identity of the man to call 302-736-7130.

DOVER, Del. – Police are investigating a burglary at a convenience store early Sunday morning.

At around 12:30 a.m., police say a man forced his way into the Exxon at 1710 North DuPont Highway by prying the rear gate. Once inside, the suspect reportedly stole lottery tickets and Newport cigarettes before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a man wearing a purple shirt, jeans, and gray sneakers.
