City of Laurel to host first ever community pop-up event

LAUREL, Del. – The city of Laurel will hold its first ever community pop-up event, Friday.
The event is meant to bring the community together, while providing residents with various resources that can contribute to a better quality of life.
There will be mental health and substance use resources, along with household items people can take home.
Event organizer, Corie Priest, said extending outreach to the community lets them know that the city stands behind them.
“We know that being out in the community and showing love and spreading love and just listening to the needs of the community is hugely helpful to empower the community,” Priest said.
The event will take place at Carvel Gardens from 11-1PM.
