Car crashes into Georgetown business

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Georgetown Police say they are investigating after a car crashed into a business Thursday morning.

Police were called to a reported crash around Layton Avenue shortly after 8 a.m., discovering that a vehicle had crashed into a business. Crews rendered aid to the occupants, as well as a person in the business at the time of the crash.

We’re told the driver and person hit inside the business were taken to nearby hospitals with serious injuries.

It is unknown at this time what caused the crash.
