UPDATE: Missing Cambridge girl located in NYC
4/24 UPDATE: Cambridge Police say Layla Bowser has been located in New York City and is safe.
We’re told she’s currently in the care of Child Protective Services awaiting arrangements to be returned to family in Maryland.
Pritchett has also been located and is in the custody of the New York Police Department, awaiting extradition back to Maryland to be served with an arrest warrant in connection to this incident.

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing child and adult.
Police say 10-year-old Layla Bowser was last seen on or around April 9th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., around 1224 Chestnut Place in Cambridge. It was determined that 44-year-old Yukie Pritchett is a non-custodial family member of Bowser who did not have permission to take Bowser with her.
Bowser is described as 5′ tall, 95 pounds, with brown eyes and black shoulder length hair in a ponytail or braids. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt.
Pritchett is described as being 5’6″, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair wearing a blonde shoulder length wig. She is driving a black 2021 Ford Bronco with Georgia registration CBV8196.
Family members say Pritchett may have traveled to the Washington D.C. or New York City areas. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bowser or Pritchett is urged to contact Cambridge Police at 410-228-3333 or your local law enforcement agency.
