Two killed in early morning crash in Caroline Co.
FEDERALSBURG, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash that killed two people early Monday morning.
Shortly before 7 a.m., Maryland State Police troopers responded to the area of Route 313, north of Laurel Grove Road, for a reported multi-vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Mazda, driven by 55-year-old Lavonne Bratcher, was trying to make a left turn onto Laurel Grove Road, when, for unknown reasons, a Jeep hit the Mazda in the rear, causing the Mazda to be hit by a GMC.
Lavonne Bratcher and 56-year-old Vincent Bratcher were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep, 31-year-old Christopher McMullen, and a passenger, as well as the driver of the GMC, were all taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton for treatment.
